DIY: Mini Colored Salt Jar

H.r.shu1kla...1885 H.r.shu1kla...1886

Here is a quick DIY that can be used to store makeup brushes or simply as decorative pieces around your house….I have used a very small glass jar just to show you an example but you can use any transparent jar (mason jars, pickle jar – any shape, any size will do)….

You would need:

  • Salt
  • Glass Jar
  • Colored chalk (Choose the colors you want to use)
  • Small container

Once you have everything in place determine the quantity of salt you need per color according to the size of the jar and the number of colors you want to add. Take some salt in the container and rub the chalk over salt, you can decide the consistency of color and stop when you like the color you have achieved. Pour the colored salt in the container one at a time continue doing so once you have reached more than half of the jar if you are making it to store the makeup brushes, if so shove the brushes in it else continue filling it until you reach the top you can close the lid and place this anywhere in your house as a decorative item & to add accent of color.

You can add a lace or ribbon on the neck of the jar if you like.

Hope you enjoy it…..If you happen to make this share a picture or a link to your post would love to see what you did 😉

What I will share here may be short poems, some random stuffs, short stories, my photo journal, random pictures anything I love writing & photography I may not be best at it but it allows me to shout out all I have to say in a nicer way :)
